Before I came to Mines, the only thing I knew for certain was that my path in life was yet to be determined. However, I’ve realized that Mines is the perfect place for me to learn more about myself and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. The reason I say this is because of the support coming from not only the Harvey community, but also the whole campus in general. The resources available are abundant and an absolute necessity at times. As focused as Mines is on engineering, it has also allowed me to explore other interests such as hiking, community service and even rugby, things I did not think I would have a chance to participate in before. As I proceed with my pursuit of a chemical engineering degree, I know Mines and the Harvey Scholarship will continue to provide me with an environment I can thrive in.
