Growing up, it was a dream of mine to go to school in Colorado and Golden is the perfect place. I am fortunate to live in the outdoor adventure community and enjoy outdoor activities with friends from my floor. In addition to the activities surrounding campus, I participate on the women’s rugby team and other intramural sports. 

Mines is known for providing an excellent education, and the fact that everyone here has the same determination to work hard and succeed makes this place special. I wanted a job that would allow me the opportunity to give back to the community, so ultimately I chose environmental engineering as my career path. The combination of location, academic rigor and community at Mines made my decision to come here so easy.
