I have always been interested in mathematics and science, so choosing to go to the Colorado School of Mines was an easy decision for me. The school is the perfect environment for me to explore the areas that interest me most. Despite only having finished three semesters at Mines, I’ve already found myself greatly enjoying many of my courses and projects, and I am very excited for my remaining time here. Along with my love for math and science, I have a love for people, and try my best to leave a positive impact on the world around me. I have met many new people here that have made all of these new experiences even more enjoyable. Many of the most amazing and influential individuals I have met at Mines have been the other Harvey Scholars. These students share a common passion for helping and caring, and being a part of this group has really changed me as a person. I look forward to continuing to grow within this family, and I hope to be able to “pay it forward” in the future.
