While I always knew I wanted to be an engineer, I didn’t always know I would end up at Mines. In fact, I never thought it would be possible. Growing up, I always thought I would only be able to afford college in my home town. However, thanks to the Harvey Program, I am here at Mines and I could not be happier. I remember receiving the congratulatory phone call and instantly being overcome with excitement. From my moment I stepped onto campus, I knew Mines was the perfect school for me. Mines is rigorous, but has a community focused environment allowing me to pursue my passions of innovative technology and the cultivation of diversity in the STEAM industry. Studying Computer Science empowers me to be able to help others and solve problems with my technical skills. I am so grateful to have found a home here in Golden!
