I graduated in December of 2019 with a degree in computer science. After graduation, I started a job as a Software Engineer with a cybersecurity company, and absolutely love it! My job definitely presents challenges that I didn’t explicitly face in classes at Mines, but that my education definitely gave me the tools to handle. I am still so incredibly grateful for my time in the Harvey Scholars program at Mines; I truly do not think I would be where I am today without the support of this incredible community. The leadership skills I gained by simply being in the program as well as from my time on the board have already proven to be strong assets in my job, and I can only imagine the benefits increasing as I move forward in my career.
