I’ve lived my entire life in Saint Paul, Minnesota — the better of the Twin Cities (sorry Minneapolis). I was enamored by math, science, music, and nature early in my life. I also have had a passion for building things (and destroying things), so becoming an engineer seemed to be my fate. I learned about Colorado School of Mines from an older friend who applied. I looked into the school and was pleased to find a perfect fit. While I was excited to have been accepted, coming to Mines wouldn’t have been possible for me without the generous Harvey Scholarship. I am so excited to enter this community of scholars and thinkers, the future leaders in STEM. I am planning on studying either mechanical or electrical engineering (or possibly computer science). I’m also hoping to get involved in the Denver music scene, and explore the outdoors! I feel honored to have been selected for this opportunity and look forward to learning and contributing to this group.
