Trevor Lockman

Trevor Lockman

Trevor Lockman hails from Murdock, Nebraska, a village smaller than his Chemistry I course at Mines, but home to the best drinking water around. From an early age, he took an interest in math and science, which led him to Colorado School of Mines in the fall of 2015. Trevor obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with a minor in Energy, in May of 2019. He’s now a master’s student in the new Advanced Energy Systems program, graduating in December of 2020. Trevor’s focus in school is learning as much about renewable energy both inside and outside of the classroom, which is why he has been interning at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since March of 2017 doing research in the Photovoltaic Reliability and Integrated Devices and Systems groups. Outside of academics, Trevor has been, and still is, a member of the varsity cross country and track teams and involved with Mines Catholic Campus Ministry and FOCUS. Besides running and his faith, Trevor takes pride in being able to insert a flash drive correctly the first time and create successful New Year’s resolutions. His passion for paying it forward is vital in both his work in the renewable energy field and with helping those less fortunate through tutoring, serving, and giving.
