I came to Colorado from Quebec, Canada, when I was around four years old, and this state has been instrumental in developing my passion for Nature ever since. When I heard that I was going to be a Harvey Scholar, I stayed up all night afterwards thinking of all the possibilities that come with pursuing a more efficient tomorrow alongside the best of the best, as well as the places I would go. This program has provided me with the life-changing opportunity to study the renewable energy industry in Iceland, and I know for a fact the experiences I had there will continue to inspire me throughout my future career as a biochemical engineer, consultant, or any other profession I set my heart upon. Last year, I took on the role as ambassador for the GREEN Program, the very organization that brought me to Iceland, in the hopes of encouraging my fellow classmates and scholars to explore the vast complexities of a sustainable future all while traveling abroad to destinations like Japan, Peru and more! I count myself lucky to have a strong bond with my fellow Harvey scholars, all of whom demonstrate the best work ethic and grit that this side of the Rockies have ever seen. To any prospective scholars reading this, know that this fellowship will foster your personal growth to levels you thought unattainable and grow friendships you will cherish for the rest of your life!
