Hannah Levy

Hi! I’m Hannah Levy and I’m a Junior in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I was lucky enough to know early on that I wanted to study electrical engineering, as I have always been fascinated by the phenomenon of electricity and electronic devices. Growing up in Colorado Springs, the sentiment was that if you lived in Colorado and you wanted to be an engineer, you went to Colorado School of Mines, and that’s what I set out to do. Mines was the only school I applied to. I loved the no-nonsense application process because it was fast, simple and the decisions were based purely on merit. I have absolutely loved my time at Mines. It truly feels like a community and the Harvey scholars truly are a community within a community. Everyone here is so friendly, helpful, smart, and hard-working. I have learned so much during my time here it seems unreal. I am proud to be the Vice President of Maker Society, where the motto is “Anyone can make anything” and we work to provide resources and establish a strong making community here at Mines.
