After graduating from Mines, I had the honor of attending graduate school at Stanford University to pursue my passion in Robotics Engineering. I had always thought I would end up being a physicist, but in my senior year, I took an intro to robotics course and fell in love with it. It didn’t hurt that jobs in the field paid well, either. Afterwards, I moved with my wife to Massachusetts so she could pursue a Master’s degree in creative writing. I got a job at Berkshire Grey, a company that sells robotic systems for sortation and handling to various commercial businesses. As cheesy as it sounds, I’m living the dream; I get to solve challenging problems with real-world impacts every day.
