I am studying mathematics and computer science at Mines. Growing up, I always enjoyed math so it was a natural choice to become a math major. After being forced to take the required computer science classes, I found an interest in computer programming. I hope to work in the tech industry in the future and find a company that has similar philanthropic goals to my own. Every year that I spend in Golden I feel more and more grateful for all the opportunities that this school and the Harvey Scholarship Program have given me. I have gotten the chance to study abroad in Spain, spend a month in Australia, explored new subjects and meet inspirational students and faculty. Outside of academics, the majority of my time is dedicated to Varsity Track and Field, training for the heptathlon and getting the chance to compete.
