I graduated from Colorado School of Mines back in 2016 with a BS in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. I had an awesome opportunity to play varsity volleyball all 4 years! Since graduating, I worked for biotech/pharmaceutical companies for 3 years in the manufacturing space. I worked as an operator and also was fortunate to join a rotational program where I worked as a safety engineer, a floor support engineer, and a manufacturing supervisor. I really enjoyed my working experience, but I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the Research and Development space within the industry, so I decided to go back to school. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Michigan getting a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a MS in Biomedical Engineering. My time as a Harvey Scholar at Mines was awesome, and I learned so much about my passions and the continued importance of paying it forward.
