Having lived my entire life under the same roof in Pearland, TX a suburb just south of Houston, I am very excited to be joining a brand new community! Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to explore my interests in the field of engineering. From observing local highway construction projects to internships and experiences directly with professionals, I developed my understanding of the field and decided on pursuing civil engineering. As I explored colleges I realized that Colorado School of Mines was unique, offered an outstanding academic program, and invested in students working towards their passion. Additionally, the emphasis on community really captured my interest. Being selected as a Harvey Scholar is a great honor for me because of what it means to be part of this special group where there is emphasis to work hard, help the community, and pay it forward. I am grateful to the Harvey family for giving me the opportunity for making it possible for me to attend this amazing school.
