Growing up in Littleton, Colorado, I have always been aware of the prestigious reputation that Mines has in our area and that it holds the same reputation throughout the engineering field. But since being here, I’ve learned that Mines is so much more than just its reputation; it is a community of students and professionals all working to enhance the STEM industry. The Harvey program has increased that feeling exponentially, connecting me with a wide network of students and professionals who I feel I can be supported by and learn from, and vice versa. Other than being in the Harvey program, I am involved with Greek life here at Mines, as the Vice President of Member Education and Programming for Alpha Phi, as well as a member of Society of Women in Geophysics. I enjoy balancing my time in the classroom by exploring all of the outdoor opportunities Golden has to offer with my dog.
