Melody attended Colorado School of Mines and graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in May 2015. While attending, she held a variety of internships in the Transportation, Overhead Transmission Line, and Land Development fields. After graduating she worked in Houston, TX in Land Development, Energy Services and Municipal Utility District Engineering for a well-known engineering firm. She has also been involved in overhead transmission line design, construction administration and management for drainage and grading, road design, and site civil design for a chemical plant expansion project. Melody was a Project Manager for West Harris County MUD 11 and provided district engineering services. Melody Graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Civil Engineering. She pioneered an Engineer in Training Program for the Jacobs Houston office that focused on career development and growth within the organization for young engineers. She developed a curriculum and a technical session outline to create a solid technical foundation for these young engineers, organized meetings, and mentored employees. Melody graduated with her master’s degree in Underground Construction and Tunneling in May 2018 while working for Brierley part-time in Denver, CO during the semester and full time during the summer she was then hired as a full time Staff engineer with Brierley post-graduation. During her time at Brierley she has worked on a variety of boring location plans, vicinity maps, mine subsidence investigation, mine mapping, tunnel feasibility reports, tunnel inspections, stratigraphy profiles and geotechnical reports.
