Ever since I was in first grade, I knew I wanted to change the world through innovation. Once I learned that you could apply math and science to do just that, I was hooked on the idea of becoming an engineer. While Colorado School of Mines was an easy first on my list of prospective colleges, I knew there was no way I could attend without significant financial assistance. With the Harvey’s generous gift, I am able to study at my dream school and foster my passions that transcend the scope of academics. Every day I learn more about the world around me and the importance of paying it forward. When I’m not studying, I fill my time with reading, dancing, and just learning as much as I can. I also really enjoy the outdoors, so being surrounded by mountains is incredible. I’m so thankful for all the doors this program has already opened and I can’t wait to see where else it’ll take me.
